Disney Cruise Line's newest addition, the Disney Treasure, will make its grand debut at Port Canaveral in December 2024, marking a historic moment as it joins Disney's prestigious fleet. This highly anticipated new ship will set sail from Port Canaveral with a variety of captivating itineraries in both the Eastern and Western Caribbean. The Treasure's inaugural voyage is set for December 21, 2024.

Port Canaveral will be home to not just one but three Disney Cruise Line ships, including its sister ship, the Disney Wish, and the beloved Disney Fantasy. The Treasure promises a unique cruise experience with a wealth of themed restaurants and attractions inspired by timeless Disney stories such as "Aladdin," "Coco," "The Lion King," "Zootopia," as well as the Marvel and Star Wars universes, and cherished classics like "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea."

The Disney Treasure is currently under construction at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany, and will be powered by eco-friendly liquefied natural gas, LNG.

In an interview with Florida Today, Thomas Mazloum, President of the New Experiences Portfolio and Disney Signature Experiences, expressed the significance of Port Canaveral to Disney Cruise Line's success, emphasizing its appeal to guests who combine a land and sea vacation. He praised the proximity of Port Canaveral to Walt Disney World and Disney's private Bahamian islands as an unbeatable value proposition.

"The Treasure's itineraries from Port Canaveral will include stops at one of Disney's two private islands in the Bahamas, Castaway Cay, or the newly added Eleuthera at Lighthouse Point, starting from June 2024," Mazloum said.

According to Disney Cruise Line, "the Disney Treasure will captivate passengers with a design concept that draws upon the enchanting stories of beloved Disney characters. Adventure will serve as the ship's architectural and thematic cornerstone, paying tribute to Walt Disney's enduring love for travel and exploration."

With a passenger capacity of 4,000 and a crew of 1,555, the Treasure is poised to deliver an unforgettable journey for all on board.

Disney is ensuring that families have a comfortable and luxurious experience on the Treasure, with staterooms designed with their needs in mind. Many staterooms offer connecting doors to accommodate larger groups, with a total of 451 connecting doors throughout the ship.

The Treasure boasts 1,256 staterooms, including 53 concierge staterooms and 23 concierge suites. Of these, 1,133 provide breathtaking ocean views, with 948 featuring a verandah, while the remaining 123 are inside staterooms.

Food enthusiasts will be delighted by the addition of Plaza de Coco, a theatrical dining experience inspired by Disney and Pixar's "Coco." The dinner menu offers modern twists on traditional Mexican cuisine, complemented by live entertainment, including a mariachi band.

Among the ship's new dining experiences is Worlds of Marvel, an immersive Marvel-themed restaurant featuring Avengers characters and stories, including an interactive encounter with Spider-Man. Worlds of Marvel can also be found on the Disney Wish.

The Disney Treasure joins an illustrious fleet that includes the Disney Magic (maiden voyage in 1998), the Disney Wonder (1999), the Disney Dream (2011), the Disney Fantasy (2012), and the Disney Wish (2022). Two more Disney ships are currently under construction and are set to join the fleet in 2025.
